Bio'tiful Café

The level of deception and spin is pretty high! Passing off an administrative closure as "annual leave" is frankly quite something (maybe even more so than the food). I'm not unhappy that this "organic" restaurant (from Metro) is closing. It will make room for someone who might prioritize customer satisfaction over their own ego! Because the display of the "owner's" photo right at the entrance of "this canteen" (given the quality of the food, I call it a canteen, but I'll get to that later) just to say "hey, did you see? I know some artists," even if for some they would be more like "art-trolls," but anyway. As for the food... I missed my old high school cafeteria because absolutely nothing was right. The chicken wasn't cooked, the vegetables were still frozen, the portions weren't big enough... In short, absolutely nothing was right. Not to mention the service... there's so much to say (and not good things) that I wouldn't even be able to write it all down. Actually, I'll sum up my experience in a few words: food poisoning. It's really not surprising that it closed down in the end.

Closed until July. This wasn't mentioned anywhere, especially since a schedule of activities for the month was published. Thanks for the poor communication; we went all the way there for nothing. PS: (Says "f**de" on their answering machine.) Not very professional!

In short: portions far too small and the restaurant is expensive. In detail: The pros: • Warm welcome and quick seating, • Starters and main courses served quickly (between 5 and 10 minutes), • Pleasant waitress. • Live music: trio with a varied repertoire and a talented singer. • Spacious establishment with a large dining room and a large terrace. The cons: • A somewhat dreary setting: despite the restaurant management's obvious efforts to screen off Rue de Mulhouse with privacy screens, the traffic is still clearly audible, and beyond that, the industrial aspect of the neighborhood is visible above these wooden barriers: cement silos on one side, a faded blue-green house on the other, and a corrugated metal garage roof opposite. I don't understand why a restaurant would set up shop here. Others before him have closed down... • Portions too small: the photos speak for themselves, and we're not exactly big eaters in our group. I barely even got a taste of the fish sauce. • The dishes tasted good, but nothing exceptional. • Prices are far too high (see photo of the menu) compared to both the quantity AND the quality. • A 10-15 minute wait for a glass of wine, for which we had to keep asking the waitress. The wine was supposed to accompany the dish, but it arrived too late. • Another 10-15 minute wait for dessert, but that's less of an issue than the wine not being served with the main course. A mixed experience overall, with the biggest drawback being the amount of food on the plate.

The worst night of my life! We waited an hour and fifteen minutes just to order drinks. We had to drink from the toilet tap. Background music started at 11:40 PM (instead of 9:30 PM). A real 80s DJ set finally started at 12:45 AM with only 14 people on the dance floor. They made an €84 error on the till, at our expense of course, without a word of apology. We paid the balance in cash. Then they called me on my cell phone at 2 AM to tell me to come back because I owed €158! What a joke! The Biotiful is dead, what a shame, it had potential.
